Avoid personal questions
While friendly and accommodating conversation is encouraged, someone’s relationship status, gender identity or sexual orientation is not an acceptable topic for conversation.
To stay safe & informed, check out the following ViaVan Policies. Have any questions? We’re here to help! You can always reach our Support Team at [email protected], and we’ll respond within 48hrs.
ViaVan has a strict Zero Tolerance Policy toward any drug or alcohol use, physical violence, sexual assault, verbal or sexual harassment, threatening behavior, and discriminatory behavior.
As part of the ViaVan community, we’re all committed to providing a safe, shared environment for our members and Driver Partners. Because of this, we ask that all members of the ViaVan Community adhere to our policies regarding zero-tolerance behavior.
Here are a few tips to make sure you can avoid unsafe or inappropriate situations as a ViaVan Driver Partner:
ViaVan Discrimination Policy
ViaVan does not tolerate discrimination of any kind against members or our driver partners on the basis of race, national origin, religion, gender, physical or mental disability, age, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Additionally, ViaVan does not tolerate discrimination of any kind against service animals.
Members or Driver Partners who violate ViaVan’s anti-discrimination policies may lose access to the ViaVan platform.
If you believe that you have been subject to discrimination by a ViaVan member, please contact ViaVan Operations with a call or text, or email us at [email protected]
Please remember that ViaVan is not responsible for any parking tickets, speeding tickets, or other traffic violations Driver Partners incur while driving with the ViaVan System.
Tips for avoiding tickets:
Traffic Violations & Speeding Tickets:
Stay within speed limit and avoid restricted turns. Your route should never take you through a restricted turn, but if it does please re-route and then let us know about the new turn restriction so we can correct it in our system.
Parking Tickets:
At Terminals (Blue Mode): if you can’t wait at the Terminal, please circle around the block. If this proves to be a challenge, call us and we will figure out how to move your Terminal.
At Pickups (Blue & Flex Mode): If you are unable to wait at Pickup spot please move down the street or circle around the block and let the ViaVan Operations Team know so we can inform your rider.
Children are welcome in a ViaVan! We strongly encourage all parents to bring a car seat or booster seat where appropriate. Via Driver Partners do not have to provide car seats or booster seats. However, Driver Partners are required to transport infants in a carseat and, if there is no carseat, the Driver Partner is providing service at their own risk.
Please note that all children, regardless of age, must be marked as an additional passenger.
