TfL Fatigue Policy and the ViaVan Driver App

The safety of you and your riders is our number one priority. We’re working closely with TfL to ensure we have the proper tools in place to make sure the ViaVan Driver App helps you!

What is the TfL fatigue policy?

  • Driver Partners may not be online for more than 10 hours in any 24 hour period.
  • After driving for 10 hours, Driver Partners need to take a break to rest for at least 6 hours.

How will I know if I reach these limits?

  • You will receive an SMS from ViaVan informing you when you are one hour away from the 10-hour limit.
  • You will be logged out and receive a notification when you have reached the 10-hour limit.
  • After reaching this limit, the app will indicate when you may log in again after six hours of rest time.
