What is an Earnings Guarantee?
An Earnings Guarantee is a set amount of gross fares you are guaranteed to make within a given time period, as long as you meet certain conditions.
Drivers can earn a maximum of one Earnings Guarantee per driver per day. If multiple Earnings Guarantees are earned, you will be paid the highest offer!
How do I qualify for an Earnings Guarantee?
You must complete at least the number of rides indicated in the text message you received and complete at least 80% (or as otherwise stated) of the rides you are offered during the entire promo period.
How does payment work?
You’ll always receive at least the Earnings Guarantee as a total gross fare if you meet the requirements of the promotion.
ViaVan will look at every ride you completed during the promotion period, and add up your total earnings.
If this total is less than the Promotion Guarantee Amount (after the Service Fee), we will pay you a top-up amount.
If you already earned more than the Guarantee amount, you won’t need an additional payment. You’ll just keep those additional earnings.
If you achieve the promotion and earn a top-up amount, the payment will be documented on your pay report the next week in the “other” section.
Key things to remember
Service Fee: All Guarantees are subject to ViaVan’s 15% Flex Service Fee.
Ride Requirements: You must complete the minimum number of Rides (i.e., passenger bookings or pick-ups) during the promotion period to qualify. A ride is considered ‘completed’ if you accept the ride, pick up the passenger, and drop off the passenger.
Extra Rides: If you do more than the required minimum number of rides, you will keep the earnings you generate for these rides. We will consider these as part of your total earnings in the promotional period when calculating your ‘top-up- payment.
Completion Rate Requirements: You must complete at least 80% of the rides you are offered during the entire promotion period to qualify. A ride is considered ‘completed’ if you accept the ride, pick up the passenger, and drop off the passenger. Any rides that do not meet this criteria (e.g., ride is not accepted, or ride is cancelled) will count against your completion rate.
Unauthorised behaviour: Offer valid only for the date and time period specified in the message received. Promotion reserved to active ViaVan Driver Partners in good standing with ViaVan to whom the promotion notification was addressed. In the event trips are not provided as requested by a Driver Partner, including in the event of system abuse or unauthorised behaviour, the Driver Partner will automatically and in all respects forfeit his or her eligibility for this promotion.
- Drive in Flex Mode during the promotion period
- Complete at least the number of rides indicated in the message received during the promotion period
- Complete 80% of rides offered during the promotion period (Remember, a ride is considered ‘completed’ if you accept the ride, pick up the passenger, and drop off the passenger)
*ViaVan reserves the right to withhold payment in situations where a Driver Partner violates Via Van’s policies.
