We’re constantly working to make your time on the road with ViaVan the best and most efficient, so you can earn even more. That’s why we are now offering a promo to pay you for the time it takes to get to a far away pickup when you drive in Flex mode.
How it works:
- As with other Flex promotions, we will communicate the specific details of the promo offer through inbox messages in your ViaVan app.
- If you confirm availability for a ride in Flex mode, and your car is empty, you can earn a bonus for the drive to your pickup at the hourly rate specified in the message you have received. The rate specified is exclusive of ViaVan’s service fee.
- You can receive the bonus if it takes you more than the number of minutes stated in the in-app message to get to your rider. You will be paid for any additional time on top of those minutes until your rider is picked up. For example, if your promo message states 7 minutes, you will get paid for any time you spend driving to pick up beyond 7 minutes.
- You will receive the bonus even if the rider cancels or does not show up.
This offer will apply for the date and hours specified in your promo inbox message
Since we know that sometimes a rider is further away, we don’t want you to have idle time on the road.

Conditions for ViaVan’s Pay to Pick Up Promotion: This Promotion applies to trip proposals in Flex Mode when a Driver Partner does not already have other Riders on board. The Promotional Rate is the hourly rate stated in your in-app message (subject to ViaVan’s service fee). It will be available for driving time to pick up that exceeds the number of minutes stated in your in-app message, starting from the time you confirm your availability for a ride, and ending at the time the rider is picked up, the rider cancels the ride, or you identify the rider as “no showed”. The promotion is only applicable if the estimated driving time to pick up in your initial ride offer is equal to or greater than the number of minutes stated in your in-app message. The Promotional rate is not available if you cancel the ride after confirming availability, or if the ride is cancelled by us (including, for example, because of a loss of connection to our systems). The maximum payout time will be 45 minutes, with a maximum of 5 minutes of waiting time between pressing “I’m here”and identifying the rider as a “No Show.”
Eligibility: This Promotion is only valid only for the date(s) and time(s) specified in the message received. The Promotion is personal to the recipient and cannot be shared with, or transferred to, any other Driver Partners. This Promotion can be combined with other Promotions, and will not impact eligibility for other Promotional payouts. In the event trips are not provided as requested by a Driver Partner, including in the event of system abuse or unauthorised behaviour, the Driver Partner will automatically and in all respects forfeit his or her eligibility for this promotion. We reserve the right to withdraw this Promotion from any Driver Partner(s) at any time. We also reserve the right to withhold payment of the Promotional rate if we consider you to be in violation of these terms and conditions, or of any of the ViaVan policies.
