In our continued efforts to support you through the Congestion Charge changes, we’ve developed a special new feature to provide you with the flexibility you deserve. Starting on Monday, 15 April you can set your preferences for driving in the Congestion Charge zone when you are in Flex mode. Go online and give it a try!

How do I set my ride preferences?

You can set your ride preference each time you go online in Flex mode during the zone’s operating hours, which are 07:00-18:00, Monday to Friday. You can access your ride preference settings by clicking on your in-app popup or in the “Personal Info & Docs” section of the app.

If you do not see the option to change your ride preferences, please reinstall your app and try again. You can also contact us at [email protected] if you experience any issues.

Key things to remember:

When “Drive in the Congestion Zone” setting is off, you will not receive rides with pickups or dropoffs in the Congestion Charge zone during the zone’s operating hours. As a result, you may receive fewer ride offers during this time.

Preferences will reset automatically each time you go offline. You will need to update them every time you go online in Flex mode if you do not want to receive rides in the Congestion Charge zone.

What if I want to drive in Blue mode?

If you want to drive in Blue mode, you will not be able to change your ride preferences and may receive rides in the Congestion Charge zone. For Blue drivers, we offer special daily promotions to help cover Congestion Charge expenses. Check your inbox in the ViaVan driver app for more details.
